Men have ruled Celia Gillingham’s life for as long as she could remember. Orphaned at a young age, her uncle sent her away to school until he negotiated a marriage with an older earl. Now alone and penniless, Celia’s viscount cousin drops her at an East End business, claiming she will work off a family debt. Determined to stand on her own two feet, she asks Liam for a job. Reluctantly, he puts the countess to work in his kitchen.

COVER REVEAL! The Viscount of Shadows (The Rakes of St. Regent's Park #6) Coming Soon! by @KarynGerrard @ERomNews #Historical

The Viscount of Shadows

(The Rakes of St. Regent's Park #6)

KG Publishing Coming Soon!

Cover by EDH Professionals

BLURB

Oliver Wollstonecraft, Viscount Tensbridge, and recent member of The Rakes of St. Regent’s Park, has a secret: he leads a double life. He sits on a progressive parliamentary committee by day, crafting laws to benefit the less fortunate. But by night, Oliver tests those values, acting as The Sentinel, a masked protector of the underprivileged. Nothing shakes his stoic resolve until he comes to the aid of a bold and fiery woman who turns out to be a lady detective. She awakens emotions Oliver believed were well hidden.

Claudia Ellingford has secrets of her own. The illegitimate daughter of a villainous duke, she spent the past ten years surviving on the streets. Recently hired by The Galway Investigative Agency, Claudia relishes her exciting new occupation. But nothing prepared her for seeing a masked man lurking in the shadows and patrolling the alleys of a notorious section of London. What is more shocking is that the stuffy viscount who hired her is the vigilante that stirred her dormant desire.

Claudia and Oliver become swept up into a perilous situation, with a vicious criminal determined to discover The Sentinel’s true identity. But what is also in danger is their hearts, facing their doubts, and finding a path to lasting happiness.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Author's note: Hoping to release later this fall/autumn. It is nearly completed. But I impose no deadlines on myself, so there is no firm date.
Oliver is the grandson of Aidan Wollstonecraft, whose story can be found in Love With a Notorious Rake (Men of Wollstonecraft Hall #3). Oliver appeared briefly in Book #2, The Baron and the Mistress, and in Book #5, The Not So Perfect Duke (The Rakes of St. Regent's Park)
Claudia appeared briefly in Book #4, The Duke of Pain, as Mary O'Toole.
Due to his father’s untimely demise, Damon Cranston is thrust into the role of the Duke of Chellenham. His loathsome and debauched father was too busy indulging in his vices to prepare Damon for such responsibility and left the dukedom in shambles. Damon turns to Althea Galway, co-owner of the Galway Investigative Agency, to assist in unraveling the tangled mess. Since meeting Althea months ago, he hasn’t been able to get her out of his mind. Not only her beauty, but Damon is also captivated by her intellect, compassion, and confidence.
Althea Galway has never been impressed by money or title. Or by looks—although Damon, the devilishly handsome, golden-haired duke, caught her attention at first glance. Arrogant and egotistical, he is called Dorian Gray by society because of his reprobate reputation. But Althea senses deep loneliness, perhaps even inner scars, and is compelled to find the honorable man she believes is hidden behind the cool exterior.
Damon and Althea are swept up into a maelstrom of revelations: a conspiracy involving the late duke and numerous others from the privileged class. Add a personal crisis into the mix, and finding a way to a shared future together seems hopeless. But they cannot deny the scorching attraction between them. Finding a way to make it all work will be a challenge. But it is one the duke and the lady detective are determined to overcome.
FROM THE AUTHOR: Hello! I am almost finished this book, then it as to go through edits, so I am hoping it will be ready for release later in 2022, but as I have said many times before, I do not place deadlines on myself, so anything can happen (either in my life, or world events) that may cause delays. I am having lots of fun with this, as Damon is quite the rogue. But ultimately, this book is about lost family found, how love can be transformative, and how various crises can make one stronger. Hey, love can conquer all! :)
I have also started book #6 (working title, The Viscount of Shadows) and it will concern Oliver Wollstonecraft (grandson to Aidan, the hero of Love with a Notorious Rake-Men of Wollstonecraft Hall #3) Will there be more after #6? The potential is there, as Oliver has lots of cousins *wink* but I am taking this one book at a time. Cheers!
THE RAKES OF ST. REGENT'S PARK SERIES
In a private meeting place, in an old bank office behind Colosseum Terrace on Albany Street, a group of gentlemen attended a gathering. It had nothing to do whatsoever with financing, investments, or stocks—unless you counted moral bankruptcy. The central rules of this club: no serious attachments to anyone, and the pursuit of one’s own pleasures, especially of the carnal variety, were to be of the utmost importance.
But weariness and boredom were setting in. Along with something more worrying: loneliness. A disquiet of the soul. These bad boy peers of Victorian London were damaged, hiding their inner torture beneath a thin veneer of devil-may-care dissoluteness.
It takes an exceptional group of women to capture the hearts of such men. To see past the outer shell. The ladies are determined to live and love in their own way, with no relinquishment of their independence and no compromises. How satisfying to find that deep down, these progressive men are in total agreement.
Blurb for PROTECTING THE DUKE (The Rakes of St. Regent's Park #1)
The fact that women couldn’t join the London Metropolitan Police was an injustice to Eleanora Galway. She found her way around such an obstacle: by forming a detective agency. When a note arrives from a duke concerning a mysterious and gruesome delivery, Eleanora agrees to investigate.
Despite the pursuit of pleasures by The Rakes of St. Regent’s Park, weariness and boredom were setting in. Along with stark loneliness. No one felt this more than Christian Bamford, Duke of Allenby. Once the Galway Agency arrives, Christian is fascinated by Eleanora and her razor-sharp deductive mind and bold confidence. She attracts him as no other woman has done before.
When Christian proposes assisting her with her inquiries, Eleanora initially balks. But the temptation of being in the darkly handsome duke’s company is hard to resist. Swept up into an adventure and a passion neither had counted on, the blending of unlikely lives, occupations, and societal standing seems insurmountable. But for the independent Eleanora and the progressive-minded Christian, nothing is impossible. Not even love.
COVER REVEAL! The Duke of Pain (The Rakes of St. Regent's Park #4) by Karyn Gerrard @KarynGerrard #Blurb #Historical Romance #ComingSoon
Book #4 of The Rakes of St. Regent's Park series, THE DUKE OF PAIN! It's finished but now has to go through the editing. No idea when it will be released, (I don't impose deadlines on myself) but soon!
And bonus! I am 25,000 words in on Book 5! ~Cheers~
✅ Tortured older (40 yrs old) hero
✅ Equally tortured heroine
✅ Evil stepfather villain (think Tywin Lannister, Game of Thrones)
✅ Suspenseful shenanigans
The oldest and only remaining original member of The Rakes of St. Regent’s Park, Gideon Broyles, the Duke of Watford, has grown weary of his debauched escapades. Due to his wretched past, he often refers to himself as the Duke of Pain. He selfishly breezed through life with no thought for anything or anyone. All that changed when Gideon met Olivia Durham at an exclusive club. The passionate encounter has him reeling, as he never experienced these powerful emotions before.
Olivia also has a dark past. Hiding behind a fictitious persona, she provides a particular service to her clients. One that doesn’t involve physical intimacy, for Olivia cannot stand to be touched. In all her years at the club, no man has sparked her interest—until Gideon. Despite trying to ignore the intense feelings swirling between them, Olivia finds the darkly handsome duke hard to resist. When secrets from her past come to light, the complications become insurmountable.
There are multiple obstacles to overcome, including shared doubts about their capacity to feel—anything. For two emotionally closed-off people to find and accept enduring happiness? Gideon and Olivia must believe that love can conquer all.
The first three books are available!
Author's Note
This is an all-new historical romance set in 1897 Victorian London, and I will be folding in already published standalone historical romances into this series (revised, of course)
Here will be book 2
Book 3
Book 4 is a historical romance that I received the rights back to a few years ago. Also reworking/revising that. There may be more books in this series, but I'm not committing to anything for now.
Hoping to have these three books ready to go in the spring. I am working on my own schedule.
FROM THE AUTHOR:
Note on this book: It was previously published in 2013 with Crimson Romance's Spicy line as The Wicked Bad.
I rec'd the rights back in 2016. Crimson Romance is no longer in business. (Bought by Simon and Schuster in late 2016, closed in 2018)
Used paperbacks of the 2013 version are still floating out there.
I have completely revised this story. First off, He's the Wicked Bad is no longer erotic, this is a mainstream series. Meaning even though the hero is on a motorcycle, he is not part of a club, and this is not a dark romance.
I also have the rights back to book 2, His Wicked Celtic Kiss. That title will not be changing.
Book 3 is written, it is called His Wicked Cold Heart
Book 4 is not written as yet. will be called He's so Wicked Good
So, just to reiterate: Not a dark or erotic romance, not a mafia romance. This is a mainstream, family saga contemporary romance.
A little about the series: The Wicked Men of Rockland City
Nestled on the Chesapeake Bay, in Rockland City, Maryland, this small industrial city has witnessed the struggle for dominance by two families: The De Lucas and the Barneses. For good or ill, their lives, and those associated with them, have intertwined for years.
The Barnes family represents law and order. The De Lucas embodies the complete opposite. Soon their various criminal enterprises overtake everyone’s lives with disastrous results. Once the smoke clears, the question remains of who will survive. Passions run high, so do old and new resentments—and old and new loves and friendships.
Karyn Gerrard is a multi-published author, she loves to write sensual historical and contemporaries. Tortured heroes are an absolute must.
 As long as she can avoid being hit by a runaway moose in her wilderness paradise she assumes everything is golden. Karyn’s been happily married for a long time to her own hero. His encouragement and loving support keep her moving forward.
