When this story was originally published under another
title, it was a very short story for a digital publisher’s specific line for
short stories. When I received the rights back, I expanded the story from 9000
words to about 17,000.
Since it’s a re-release, I’ve had people say they wish they could spend more time with the characters. I realized that I wished the same. So, I decided to revisit this story and revise and expand it. Again.
I know, perhaps I should just leave it alone, but it's my story, and I will do what I want *wink* This is the great advantage of self-publishing. :)
It will not have a new ISBN, I will just update the file and the cover, which means anyone who already has a copy only has to go to their kindle account and update the file. Anyone buying it from the day of the update forward will get the new version.
Anne Sommer, a
spinster firmly on the shelf, does the unthinkable. She hires a man from the
Blind Cupid brothel for several nights of scandalous pleasure. Anne wants the
sensual memories to keep her company in the lonely years ahead. However, she
did not expect the young man to move her in ways she
never imagined.
Desmond Glover gives sexual gratification—for a price. An orphan whose childhood was mired in scandal and poverty; Desmond has learned to close off his emotions, especially with regard to his occupation. He did not count on a lonely spinster to awaken his hidden passion.
Not only do the years separate them, but so do their social standing. Can Anne and Desmond cross such a chasm and find mutual desire—or love?

Karyn Gerrard was born and raised in the Maritime Provinces of Eastern Canada, and thrilled to have just recently moved home! When she’s not cheering on the Red Sox or traveling in the summer with her teacher husband, she writes, reads romance, and drinks copious amounts of Earl Grey tea.
A multi-published author, she loves to write sensual historical and contemporary romances. Tortured heroes are an absolute must.
Karyn’s been happily married for a long time to her own hero. His encouragement and loving support keep her moving forward.
