Did I start out in 2011 when I was first published with an ambitious plan to get an agent, get deals, etc? Nope. It all sort of fell into place by a series of circumstances. Obviously. my writing had something to do with it. (And I hope to continue to improve) So I will move forward, write, and if I sell a few books along the way...bonus.
Now about the historical series! It is called Men of Wollstonecraft Hall.
Handsome, vibrant, and distantly related to an
infamous family, the men of Wollstonecraft Hall share one tragic failing; women
who become romantically entangled with them meet premature deaths. Society
claims the men are cursed and only finding a true, passionate love will break
the cycle of tragedy. Will they be doomed to live alone...or will the curse
finally be broken?
A sensual
historical series set in the mid-Victorian age, my series will center on a
family of men consisting of:
Book One:
Riordan Wollstonecraft, age 26 (father Julian Wollstonecraft, age 45, Viscount
Tensbridge)
Book Two: Garrett
Wollstonecraft age 32 (father Oliver Wollstonecraft, Earl of Carnstone, age 64.
Garrett is the younger half-brother to Julian.
Book Three:
Aidan Wollstonecraft, age 26, (oldest twin, father Julian Wollstonecraft, and
heir to the earldom.)
Widowed 3 times, he is far past any romantic entanglements. Tragedy has clouded his life. He believes there is some merit in the curse, and has no intentions of testing it a fourth time. Or will he? He will be a secondary character in the books.
Julian Wollstonecraft, Viscount Tensbridge, and oldest son of Oliver, age 45.
Married and a father of paternal twins at nineteen, he became a widower four years after his sons were born. His heart broken, he vowed never to love or marry again. Instead he turned his passion toward progressive causes, something the entire family fights for. Meaningless affairs have filled his life and he intends to continue down that path, until he meets a woman who captures his attention as no other. Julian will be a secondary character in the books.
Book 1 will focus on Twin #2, Riordan Wollstonecraft. Age 26.
Of Julian's two sons, Riordan, like the rest of his family, is involved in progressive causes. For him, education is everything. Hiding his family connections, he takes a position as a schoolmaster in a small town where he meets an earl's widow. The cool, aloof beauty has an interesting proposition, one Riordan finds he cannot refuse. Not only does he wish to assist her in her plight, but also teach her to open her heart to happiness, contentment, passion, and —love.
Book 2 will focus on Garrett Wollstonecraft, age 32. Son of Oliver and Julian's half brother.
If anyone in the family believes in the curse, it is Garrett, It has ruled his entire life. He is six and a half feet tall, the giant of the family, and red-haired like his late Scottish mother, The Beast of Wollstonecraft, as he is often called, keeps busy running the family estate and seeing to the tenants and has little time for romance.
Until a woman from his past appears, upending his world and everything he has believed in.
All three books will be released in 2018. I had better get writing! Deadlines!
