Forget the horrors. Remember...me.

A shivering young woman leans against a lamppost in the most notorious street of ill repute in all London. For Asher Colborne, Baron of Wenlock, this is a haunting vision of beauty and wretchedness. Uncharacteristically halting his carriage, he is shocked to discover the thin, dressed-in-rags creature is none other than Chastity Armitage, a beautiful angel who captured his heart at a grand ball more than two years past. For Colborne, her circumstance is a mystery he feels honor bound to unravel.

Chastity and her siblings have been on the run for more than two years. Desperate for food and lodging money, she is forced to sell herself. She never expected a tall, handsome man to appear as if from mist and change her life forever. She is given a choice, continue down the path of never-ending poverty or become the baron's mistress.

Though they are both determined the arrangement remain an emotionless business transaction, the attraction between them is scorching. Many barriers and obstacles lay in Chastity and Ash's path. Can the baron and the mistress embrace true love?

Heat Level: Very Sensual

Here's the thing. I made my self-pubbed investment back on this ebook the first month. Since the first of May? Sales have dropped. After a close study of how well Timeless Heart( a re-release) is doing in KU, I figured, why not give The Baron and the Mistress a whirl in the program for 90 days?

So that means the book will have to come down at Barnes and Noble, All Romance, iTunes, etc. The low sales at these vendors do not justify me keeping it there, and how wonderful to have this option. I formerly poo-pooed self-pubbing, now I see it is a viable option for me personally,

I've grown weary about many aspects in this publishing/writing life, and will be cutting back in a lot of ways. One thing that makes me weary the most is promo. So, most of my self-pubbed books (which for the most part are re-releases) will be going straight into KU, or if not right away, at least 3-6 months after the release date.

Why? I know this is annoying to readers who read on other platforms other than Kindle, but close to 70% of all e-books are sold on Amazon. It is what it is and I just as soon shove the books in KU and not worry about them further.

So, starting next week, I will be pulling the ebook off Smashwords and Draft2Digital and by the end of the month put it in the KU program. I just do not have the energy or will to market, promo, etc. What little bit is left in my tank I want to use for writing.
