I have completely revised this story. First off, He's the Wicked Bad is no longer erotic, this is a mainstream series. Meaning even though the hero is on a motorcycle, he is not part of a club, and this is not a dark romance.

I also have the rights back to book 2, His Wicked Celtic Kiss. That title will not be changing.

Book 3 is written, it is called His Wicked Cold Heart

Book 4 is not written as yet. will be called He's so Wicked Good

So, just to reiterate: Not a dark or erotic romance, not a mafia romance. This is a mainstream, family saga contemporary romance.

A little about the series: The Wicked Men of Rockland City

His Wicked Celtic Kiss: No Longer Available Very Soon #RightsReversal @KarynGerrard Plus More!

My backlist will be shrinking by several more books in the next few weeks. I have asked for at least 3 back from Evernight Publishing (not sure I will get them all) and I just received the reversal letter from Crimson Romance For HIS WICKED CELTIC KISS (book #2 of The Wicked Men of Rockland)

So what happens next? It will take a couple of weeks for KISS to come down from all vendors. So grab it up if you wish.

This will also severe my ties with this publisher. Since they were just bought by Simon and Schuster, why didn't I stay on? There were positives and negatives to be sure. (mostly positives)
I got sidetracked by writing historicals for a couple of years. Also real life issues. A number of things.

So what is up for The Wicked Men of Rockland?

Major revisions for book 1, slightly less for book 2, book 3 is written (needs editing). Plotting book 4. Then we will see if my agent can raise any interest with another publisher. There are pubs that take previously published, now more than ever.

But first, I have to finish my contract work for Kensington Publishing. Two more books to write! Also there are self-pubbed projects backing up. I want to get THE COPPER AND THE MADAM out there in the next few months. Also revise KNIGHT OF CHRISTMAS and release in the fall.

A lot on my plate. But, I have set my priorities and working at my own pace. If I can't get to Knight of Christmas, it will wait until next year. Simple. I can only do so much, and with me about to start physio on my wrist, I have to slow things down.

Also a moment of truth, last year's book sales were abysmal. And with even more backlist coming down, they will drop further. But, I didn't start this with the expectation of making big money, so I feel no pressure to have multiple releases in the span of a few months. Following my own path, doing it my way.

I received the rights back to THE WICKED BAD (Book 1 of The Wicked Men of Rockland) It should be down at most vendors by now. One thing I don't like about POD (Print on Demand) even after you get the rights back, used copies are for sale on Amazon until the zombie apocalypse!

 Book 2 is still with the publisher (Crimson Romance) and I hope to get it back this coming spring.

The Wicked Bad was my first longer work and released in the Spicy line. I do not write erotic any longer so this needs revisions. Didn't get much of an edit, which means it needs major revisions. It sold very well.

I will be changing the title slightly since it will have major revisions, to HE'S THE WICKED BAD, or something similar. I thought I would self-publish it. Now I may look at other options (like publishers who take previous published stories) who knows? I'm in no hurry.

Lots of time to work it out.

Meanwhile, keep an eye out for this series returning in one form or another.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE: Heart of Rock by @KarynGerrard But Out of the Ashes, A Change in Direction #Publishing

I got the rights back to Heart of Rock from Decadent Publishing. This book was a real heart breaker. It was like something I've never written before, the hero was hard to take, but it did get very good reviews the few it got, but also didn't sell much.

It's first incarnation was in 2012 with the now defunct Silver Publishing. Remember them? What a nightmare. I got the rights back to that and one other book with Silver before it imploded. Never did get the rest of my royalties owed, but it wasn't much anyway. The publisher I was with at the time, Decadent, contracted it in 2013. It went through a meat grinder of an edit, so much so I wondered if I would even continue on with writing. But that's how we learn, eh?


Flash forward to 2016, and the contract is up and rights have been reverted. So what do I do with it?

Well, it's not keeping it's 1970's setting, which is kind of a shame. I had fun revisiting the decade I grew up in.

So, do I throw it on the back burner to collect cobwebs?

Tempting, but then I thought, since the hero's last name is Byrne, and so is my hero from His Wicked Celtic Kiss, why not make them brothers? So Heart of Rock will be stripped down to the bare skeleton, it will no longer be an erotic romance, and eventually, I will make this story part of my Wicked Men of Rockland Series.

A lot hinges on whether I will be getting the rights back to The Wicked Bad from Crimson Romance. I try again in September. If I do get it, The Wicked Bad will be revised first, again, no longer erotic, more mainstream and completely revised (oh boy, does it need it)

I am assuming all this will not happen until later 2017 and beyond. The good news? I have book 3 already written in the Wicked Men of Rockland Series, so yes, the series will continue. I plan a book 4 to conclude it.

Not all books sell. In fact, most don't. But it is gratifying to get a book back and be able to move ahead with a complete "do-over".

Liam De Luca is the oldest son of Vinnie De Luca, and older brother to Kieran and sister, Regan.

Mentioned in Book 1, he figures prominently in Book 2, and in Book 3 (WIP), Liam will be the hero.

He is his father's right-hand man and heir apparent to the criminal empire his father has built. Cool and dangerous, his silver-gray-eyed intense stare is known for making men shake in fear and women shiver with desire.
