Karyn Gerrard here~
Can you fall in love with one of your own books? Sure you can! The first ebook I will offer up as a giveaway is THE HERO SANDWICH, co-written with Gayl Taylor. (Breathless Press)
BLURB: A wild night of meaningless sex is all best friends Connie Hollingsway and Nicci Sullivan have in mind when they approach a beyond handsome, younger man in 'The Cougar Cave' bar. They soon realize they have taken on more than they bargained for.
Barrett Michaels just found out he was cut from the Double A baseball team he played for. To drown his sorrows and ease his pain, he goes to 'The Cougar Cave' looking for a one-night stand with an experienced, older woman. Imagine his surprise when not one, but two women suggest a night of mind-blowing, sensual pleasure, with no strings attached.
Can three lonely people keep pain, bitterness, and grief at bay or will emotional fireworks tear down the walls surrounding their hearts?
Why do I love this? I wrote it with a friend. It is very emotional for a lot of reasons to us both, and therefore has a special place in my heart. Plus, its hot, romantic and fantasy all the way~ Cougar/F/M/F Menage/Erotic Romance
The second book I will offer is BLACK DESIRE (Evernight Publishing)
BLURB: Tristan Black, of Blackthorne Clan, has known heartache and pain. He is a Dhampyre (half-Vampire) and most would say blessed with extreme longevity. Tristan would say cursed as he saw the long, slow decline and then death of his human wife of old age while he seemingly aged not a day. Now seventy years later, he meets Katrina Hammond who captures his attention.
Katrina is a romance writer on summer vacation visiting her cousin where she meets the mysterious and dangerously sexy Tristan. Katrina now finds herself in the middle of a clash between the Blackthorne Clan and a pack of Thropes (wolf shape-shifters).
Can Tristan protect Katrina and can he protect his heart?
She awakened in him feelings he thought he would not have again. These passions were considered by him to be little more than vampiric mythology. She awakened his...black desire.
Be Warned: Brief menage M/F/M fantasy, M/M interaction
Why do I love this book? The heroine is a romance writer, and Tristan is so heartbreakingly tortured. I adore this couple.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it was the first romance I read or not, but the first one I remember reading was Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. I found it on my aunt's bookshelf when she asked me to babysit my younger cousins overnight. I was hooked from the first page & stayed up all night, because I couldn't put it down without reading all 600+ pages.
ReplyDeletedrainbamaged.gyzmo at gmail.com
The first adult romance that I read and made me want to read more was Jude Deveraux's The Black Lyon. Then I discovered Kathleen E. Woodiwiss' The Wolf and the Dove. I was hooked and have been ever since.
